As part of their topic ‘Underground’, the Year 3 children had the opportunity to visit the Darwin Lab to explore a variety of crystals, rocks and fossils. They also made their own salt dough, with the opportunity to create their own ammonites necklaces, just like Mary Anning had when she was a child. The children wrote details descriptions of their observations of the crystals and rocks. What a fun morning!
