At Pennthorpe, we know how to kick off the final week of term in style – and this year, we did it with full festive flair! Christmas Jumper Day marked our last Monday before the holiday break, and what better way to start the week than with the whole staff in their finest festive attire? From twinkling lights to jolly designs, we embraced the holiday spirit with open arms, spreading cheer and dancing our way through the morning as we greeted our families at the school gates.

The festive energy didn’t stop there! Our Year 8 students, as always, showed their Pennthorpe pride by warmly welcoming our younger Pennthorpians onto the school grounds. With smiles and festive spirit, they helped set the tone for a day filled with joy and excitement. It’s heartwarming to see our older students continue to support their peers, creating an atmosphere of kindness and camaraderie that is so special to our school community.

And, of course, no Pennthorpe day would be complete without a little treat – and Miss Cooper delivered! She once again treated the staff to a delicious bake in the staff room, bringing a touch of sweetness to our Monday morning. It might be the start of the week, but with Christmas nearly here, the festive mood is impossible to resist.

As we head into the final stretch of term, we’re filled with gratitude for the joy and energy that fills our school. The Pennthorpian way is all about embracing every moment with enthusiasm, and today was a perfect example of just that! Wishing everyone a merry and bright start to the holiday season – we can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds!
