Using systematic approaches, and mathematical thinking, students were tasked with working out the sequencing of the flashing lights.
Students worked out what colour lights flashed, when they flashed and using common multiples when they would all flash together again.
Some students extended their learning by adding different colour lights, making mathematical predictions and proving if their predictions were correct.
