The children were thrilled to share some of their fantastic learning as they participated in a Phonics session, where they focused on the sound ‘f’ and impressed everyone with how they are beginning to blend sounds into words. They also engaged in an art activity, creating beautiful Spring flowers inspired by the colours of nature, and took part in a Dough Gym session, which helped them develop important muscles for drawing, dressing, and writing. Everyone was incredibly impressed with how well the children followed instructions and with their enthusiasm for each activity.
The group was fortunate to have some wonderful Year 2 volunteers who guided the visitors on a tour of the Pre-Prep, showcasing the lovely Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 classrooms. Some visitors ventured further to explore the Sports Hall and Art Studio.
Afterward, the children put on their boots and waterproofs for an adventure in Forest School. They took on tasks related to the Learning Friends, chopped wood, searched for insects, climbed trees, and toasted marshmallows—embracing the great outdoors with excitement and curiosity.
There was immense pride in how beautifully the children behaved while their special visitors were in the Beehive. It was hoped that the guests had a fantastic morning, seeing just how amazing the children are as learners.
