After attending the captivating production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream last week, Year 7 English students have been putting their writing skills to the test by crafting their own theatre reviews. This activity has been a fantastic opportunity for them to build on their writing for purpose skills.

In their reviews, students were tasked with describing the performance, evaluating key aspects such as the acting, set design, and overall atmosphere, while also conveying their personal reactions. They rose to the challenge, mastering the tone required for a review—balanced, insightful, and engaging. The results were outstanding! Each student brought their own perspective to the review, while maintaining a professional and objective voice throughout. Their ability to critique with thoughtfulness and creativity truly demonstrated their shining writing skills. Well done, Year 7!
