We are seeking a compassionate and emotionally intelligent Assistant Head Pastoral to help lead Pennthorpe’s pastoral provision and safeguarding culture. The successful candidate will be a calm and thoughtful leader, committed to ensuring every pupil feels safe, supported, and able to thrive.
As Assistant Head Pastoral and Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will lead and manage all aspects of pupil wellbeing, behaviour, and safeguarding, working closely with the Head of School and colleagues across SLT and SMT to support a cohesive and caring school environment.
You will also lead PSHEE from Reception to Year 8, delivering an engaging curriculum that supports pupils’ personal development and prepares them for life beyond school. This is a key leadership role for a collaborative professional who is passionate about pastoral care and helping children flourish.
