The class engaged in thoughtful discussions about what the characters might bring with them and had the chance to sample some traditional French drinks. Pupils tasted grenadine (a sweet pomegranate syrup mixed with water) and Orangina, a classic Mediterranean drink known for its real orange pulp and zesty citrus flavour.
On Moving Up Day, the incoming Year 3 cohort (September 2025) enjoyed decorating their own cups and taking part in a fun French tradition: the Waiters’ Race from Paris. This entertaining challenge tests how quickly a waiter can carry a tray of items—such as coffee, water, and croissants—without spilling. The pupils excelled at the race and celebrated with a well-deserved glass of grenadine.
