Wow, what a fantastic week Year 1 had, last week!
In English, the children have been using their amazing writing skills to retell the story of Charlie the Firefighter! The children have been using full stops, capital letters, finger spaces, adjectives and even a simile!
In Maths, they have been looking at comparing and ordering numbers, which has been lots of fun and very interactive.
We were lucky enough to be invited to see Mr Shaw and Mr Price in the Science lab and had a hour of explosions, tricks, magic and fun! The children’s favourite part was the candy floss smelling jelly baby and the elephant toothpaste.
In PSHEE and Well-being the children have been looking at what their emotions look like, they then explored outside and created nature faces to represent different emotions.
