Upper School (10-13 Years)

The Upper School Day

The school day becomes longer and more diverse in the Upper School when the children are taught by a series of specialist teachers and move around the many teaching facilities. The day divided into manageable chunks with the core subjects of English and Maths being taught in the mornings and a wide range of other subjects being spread across the week to ensure an appropriate mix of physical activity and mental and emotional support.

Children can enjoy breakfast, are offered snacks mid morning, a healthy lunch with a wide range of choice and afternoon tea if they are staying at school to complete their homework or to participate in further activities. Stable blood sugar is a source of quality focus!

The extended day prepares children effectively for the next steps of their educational journey, offers a broader enrichment programme and enables parents to cherry pick the structure of the day to fit work schedules and the needs of siblings.
