Having first learnt in theory how to embalm a mummy and how to journey to the afterlife, they visited Brighton Museum to take part in a workshop where they re-enacted the process and, finally, on their return to school they made their own ancient Egyptian death masks and mummified a tomato!
They were impeccably behaved, as always, and really gained a deeper level of understanding of this aspect of ancient Egyptian culture from their day. Even the remote learners managed to join in with the workshop thanks to the kind permission of Brighton Museum to live stream the visit.
