The children went into the dining room to make jam tarts, Oreo clocks, cheshire cat marshmallow tails, cucumber stacks and a sandwich chessboard made with brown and white bread! Phew!
The children also created decorations for the room, including placemats, hanging clocks, paper chains and bouquets of tissue paper flowers. When they were finished, Mrs Weaver’s classroom was totally transformed.
At the Tea Party, the children each shared a riddle that they had prepared and the other children attempted to guess the answer; some of the riddles even flummoxed the teachers and parents!
It was a fabulous, truly memorable day and the children went home grinning like the Cheshire cat!
