Facilities

Pennthorpe has first rate facilities, packed into a beautiful campus of in excess of 25 acres. Children have access to fantastic facilities designed to enhance their learning experience and compliment the subject specialist teaching and small class sizes. Our facilities include

  • A purpose built Art and Design technology Block incorporating a DT lab, Fine Art room, Kiln, Food Technology Room, Computer Suite complete with 3D printers
  • A full size Sports Hall with cricket nets and climbing wall
  • A purpose built Pre-Prep building with its own outdoor learning areas, fold back doors leading to a magnificent treehouse
  • A fully fitted Science ‘SkyLab’ suited for secondary level delivery of practical Science and its fellow DryLab next door
  • Spacious, colourful and stimulating classrooms with high tech. facilities
  • Significant sports fields, tennis and netball courts and a Cricket Pavillion
  • 11 acres of woodlands complete with woodland teepee, ponddipping centre and treehouse
  • A Performing Arts Studio suited to dance and drama
  • A Music Technology Suite with both PC’s and Apple Macs, recording studio and numerous music practice rooms
  • A newly refurbished Library based in the Main House
  • A newly refurbished Dining Room
  • Our own Chapel, devoted to St Francis
  • A multitude of other outdoor areas for the children to enjoy: the terrace, Conker Corner, clamber stacks and frames, the football ground and  the kitchen gardens
