In groups, they put their detective skills to the test when trying to decipher what an artefact may have been used for. They were given photographs of real artefacts dug up by archaeologists and had to use their communication skills to discuss what the object was when it was originally used. The children came up with lots of brilliant ideas, which they will be able to use later this half term when they do some real digging!
