This week our Reception children have been learning about their new Topic “What makes a good farmer?”. They have learnt that the role of a farmer is very important as the animals need food, water, shelter, friends and need to feel safe.

The children searched for dangers on our tuff tray farm. They spotted everything, including:

  • There wasn’t any fresh water for the animals
  • The eggs hadn’t been collected from the coop.

What a lazy Pennthorpe farmer!

Tomorrow the children will be talking to a real live farmer and  have got lots of great questions to ask them! Watch this space!

Did you know that Countryside is an organisation with the objective of inspiring children about British Farming? Their website has loads of information and activities to try at home. #LetsTalkFarming
