Music, Drama and Sports

Music, drama and sports play an important part in the lives of our older Pre Prep children at Pennthorpe and we like to start to interest our little ones in these areas as soon as possible. All our children in the Early Years department enjoy weekly music lessons with a specialist music teacher and we start sports lessons with a specialist nursery sports teacher as soon as the children reach the Beehive. Drama, music and movement are taught from Reception where they also have French lessons on a weekly basis from our French specialist and swimming lessons at nearby Billingshurst Leisure Centre. Art, cookery, early science and maths investigations, language skills and literacy are all an integral part of every day life in our Early Years department. Every year we have Nativity and Christmas plays as well as sports days and school trips for the children to take part in. Life at Pennthorpe is busy and exciting from the very beginning.
