Small hands, big ideas!

At Pennthorpe, pupils have the opportunity to work with a wide range of tools, machinery and resources. Through a wide range of projects, from Reception to Year 8, they are able to gain knowledge of processes and techniques enabing them to think and intervene creatively to problem solving activities, as individuals and members of a team.

Each year our pupils work through and solve a number of problems and challenges. They acquire a wide variety of skills from sewing and printing to cookery and house design. The DT centre is a a busy and vibrant place where creative children build buggies, bridges, lighthouses and siege engines and explore the very limits of their imagination.

At Pennthorpe we are always building and our pupils lead the way.
