Pennthorpe aims to:
- Provide every child with the highest quality educational framework and the opportunities to realise his or her full individual potential - academic, physical, creative and spiritual - in a happy and secure Christian environment;
- Maintain a sharing and supportive community and to help our pupils to develop a clear sense of personal morality based on Christian values;
- Develop sound work habits and attitudes to learning, whilst preparing pupils thoroughly for examinations for senior independent schools;
- Establish and maintain a reputation for friendliness and excellence unrivalled in the catchment area.
In order to achieve these aims we will:
- Work towards continuous improvement in our pupils' levels of achievement and fulfilment, both through the development of our curriculum and facilities, and by striving to maintain the strongest possible team of talented and committed teaching and support staff;
- Foster a strong sense of community, by encouraging good manners and consideration for others, both by example and through teaching, and also by promoting teamwork and leadership skills;
- Seek to create friendly and mutually supportive relationships with our parents, communicating effectively with them and encouraging them to feel welcomed and valued as partners in their children's education.
The School also aims to use its resources to provide and enhance educational, cultural, social and recreational opportunities within the local community.
